What is keepsake jewellery?

Keepsake jewellery is created using your most meaningful inclusions — breastmilk, placenta, ashes, hair, soil, sand, fabric, or other precious elements that hold a story. The possibilities are endless. Your chosen inclusions are carefully set within resin and handcrafted into a ring, pendant, earrings, or another piece that feels right for you. Colours, shimmers, and flakes can be added to create a finish that’s truly stunning and deeply personal.

I use only the highest‑quality jewellers resin, and every silver setting is crafted from solid sterling silver. This isn’t fashion jewellery — it’s a heartfelt keepsake designed to be worn with love and treasured for a lifetime.

How do you create it?

Each type of inclusion is cared for using a method that suits it best. Breastmilk is treated with a specially developed preservation formula so it can be safely dried, ground, and added to your keepsake. Other inclusions — such as ashes, hair, fur, placenta, soil, sand, or fabric — are prepared gently and respectfully so they can be set beautifully within the resin.

Every piece is created using high‑quality jewellers resin and premium metals, ensuring your keepsake is both durable and deeply meaningful.

What are your jewellery pieces made of?

All of our pieces are made from solid sterling silver, available in either white, yellow or rose gold plating.

Do you make pieces in solid gold?

Yes, most of my pieces can be made in solid gold. If you are interested in a solid gold piece please contact me and I will supply a quote.

What if I don't know my ring size?

If you do not know your ring size you can have your size determined by a jeweller or we can send you a ring sizer. Simply place your order for your desired ring, as well as a ring sizer and one will be promptly mailed out to you with instructions.

How do I place my order?

Simply browse the collection of available pieces. Once you have decided on your chosen keepsake you can customise it to your personal style and taste. Once purchased, instructions will be sent to you detailing how to pack and send your inclusions to me.

How do I send my inlcusions to you?

Once you have purchased you will receive an email detailing how to pack and send your inclusions to me. Please note that processing times do not commence until I have received your inclusions.

Can I make changes to my design once I've ordered?

Requests to change an order, jewellery setting or customisation must be made by email within 48 hours of purchase. Any difference in price will be applied.

Changes requested after 48 hours may be considered within five days of purchase, provided your inclusions have not arrived and work has not commenced. If approved, a 20% fee will apply to cover jewellery settings or materials already ordered for your original selection.

No changes can be made after five days. Please review your jewellery, finish, sizing and customisation choices carefully before ordering. If you are purchasing a gift and are unsure of the recipient’s preferences, a gift certificate may be more suitable.

How do I know that it is my inclusions in my keepsake?

Your inclusions are carefully labelled the moment they arrive, and that label stays with them through every step of the creation process. I follow strict handling and safety procedures to ensure there is absolutely no room for mix‑ups or error.

What is the turnaround time?

My standard turnaround time is 8–12 weeks from the moment your inclusions arrive. This allows me to give each keepsake the time, care, and attention it deserves. Many pieces are completed sooner, but I like to give a realistic window so you know what to expect.

I’ll keep you updated throughout the process, and if I’m ever anticipating a delay, I’ll let you know.

How do I care for my jewellery?

Store your jewellery in a dark place when it’s not being worn — the gift box is perfect. Avoid windowsills or direct sunlight, as UV light can affect the resin.
Please remove your piece before showering, swimming, sunbathing, or using lotions or chemicals.

Your keepsake is designed to last a lifetime, and I also offer a 12‑month warranty* for peace of mind.

*Warranty does not cover plating, as plating is always temporary.

Does it come with a guarantee?

Your inclusions are carefully preserved so your keepsake can be treasured for many years. Discolouration caused by a preservation issue will always show early — usually within the first few months — which is why I offer a 12‑month warranty on the keepsake stone itself.

It’s important to follow the care instructions, as resin can be affected by water, heat, chemicals, lotions, and prolonged sunlight. Improper care can lead to discolouration or warping, which isn’t covered under warranty.

If your keepsake shows unusual discolouration within 12 months, I’m always happy to take a look. If, in my professional opinion, the issue is due to a preservation fault rather than wear or care‑related damage, I will remake the piece for you — you’ll only need to cover the shipping.

What is your returns and cancellations policy?

As every keepsake is personalised and made especially for you, we do not accept change-of-mind returns.

Cancellation may be requested within five days of purchase, provided we have not begun preserving your inclusions or creating your keepsake. Approved cancellations incur a 20% fee to cover materials and reserved studio time. Once work has commenced or five days have passed, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Please check your ring size carefully before ordering, as jewellery ordered in an incorrect size cannot be remade, resized or refunded.

Each keepsake is individually handcrafted and may feature subtle variations, such as tiny air bubbles, fine mould lines or slight shaping marks. These are natural characteristics of handmade jewellery and are not considered faults.

If your jewellery arrives damaged or you have concerns about its condition, please contact us as soon as possible—preferably within three days—and include clear photographs. Faulty or damaged products will be assessed and handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. This requested timeframe does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Please review our full Refund Policy or contact us before requesting a cancellation or return.

What happens to my left over inclusions?

All leftover ashes, hair, fur, and other inclusions are carefully packaged and sent home with your completed keepsake.

Breastmilk, however, is treated differently for safety reasons. Once it’s been preserved and turned into powder, I securely store a small amount onsite. This ensures that if you ever wish to order another piece — or if something unexpected happens to your original stone — I already have a safely processed backup ready to use.

A note on keepsake jewellery

Each keepsake is as unique as the person it’s made for. Because every stone is handcrafted, you may notice gentle variations in colour, tiny air bubbles, or subtle mould lines. These aren’t flaws — they’re natural characteristics of keepsake jewellery.

No two pieces will ever be identical, and no handmade piece will ever be perfectly uniform. Just like the rings in a tree trunk tell its story, these little variations are what make your keepsake beautifully individual and entirely yours.

Is there a time limit on when I can send in my inclusions?

There’s no strict time limit, but I do recommend sending your inclusions within 30 days so I can begin creating your keepsake. Because I order settings on demand, some settings may occasionally be discontinued. If that happens, you’ll receive a store credit for the full amount paid so you can choose a new setting of equal or greater value.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I ship all over the world for a flat $20 fee.

Can I speak with someone before placing my order?

Absolutely. You can book a complimentary 15-minute phone or video consultation with Kylie to ask questions, discuss suitable designs and explore personalisation options. There is no obligation to order—this is simply a calm, supportive space to help you feel comfortable with the keepsake process.
